NURS 3703U – Clinical Judgment in the Context of Mental Health Nursing

The focus of this course is on concepts and principles of mental health nursing. Common mental health challenges are discussed, with an emphasis on nursing strategies for assessing, promoting, maintaining, and restoring mental health. Students are also provided with opportunities to apply concepts of mental health nursing to the care of individuals experiencing acute and long-term mental health challenges through case-based and simulation-based learning.
