PSYC 3510U – Research Methods in Neuroscience


This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of research methods in the field of neuroscience, with an eye toward applications of these methods for psychologically motivated research. Discussed methods will include, but not be limited to, EEG, PET and MRI, and will aim to help students understand when, why and how to undertake each of these methods. Particular topics of interest will include principles of study design, best practices for data collection, interpretation of neuroscience research, limitations of neuroscience research, and methods of ensuring that research is conducted with ethical, open and reproducible methods.
