EDST 2420U – Workplace Learning

This course examines the purpose of workplace learning and a wide range of workplace learning options. Students will explore a systematic approach to organizational learning, including strategies for incorporating concerns of all interested, impacted, and influencing parties and organizational structures. They will also learn skills and strategies, including artificial intelligence tools, for conducting needs analyses in the workplace, identifying performance gaps and right fit options. Based on the identified needs, students will develop various possible solutions tailored to employers and workers, including creating performance supports and facilitating learning sessions. The course will conclude by analyzing the changing demands on workplace learning resulting from changes in the knowledge economy and technological change.
