ENGR 5427G - Operations Research

This course surveys analytical methods in operations research for modelling complex decision making problems in the modern global economy, with emphasis on applications from data analytics, supply chain management, energy markets or other relevant domains. The course introduces deterministic and stochastic operations research model formulation, solutions and applications. Topics include: linear, non-linear, and integer programming, dynamic programming, spreadsheet modelling, network models, queueing, simulation, decision analysis, Markov models, forecasting and software tools for operations research.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisite(s): ENGR 5425G
