INFR 2140U – Object Oriented Programming Based on the introduction to programming course, the fundamental concepts and techniques of object-oriented programming is introduced and explored in this course. Students will learn the fundamental concepts and techniques behind object-oriented programming in C++ or Java. They include: abstract data types (classes, objects, and methods); creation, initialization, and destruction of objects; class hierarchies and inheritance; polymorphism and dynamic binding. In addition, generic programming using templates and algorithm abstraction will also be discussed.
