BIOL 4020U – Introduction to Environmental Toxicology An introductory course using the concepts from ecology and toxicology to understand the principles of ecotoxicology. Topics will include an exploration of the complex interactions that lead to contaminant issues in populations, communities and ecosystems, an examination of the toxicity of natural and synthetic contaminants, and the methodologies used in lab and field settings. With this background, ‘real-world’ applications such as environmental risk assessment and management will be introduced.
