Program Learning Outcomes - Mechatronics Engineering

By the end of the program, students graduating will be able to:

Apply engineering design process/methodology to solve open-ended design problems.
Solve design problems by integrating principles from the four key areas of mechatronics (mechanical, electronics, software and controls) in a concurrent manner.
Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team to solve mechatronics design problems.
Employ computer-aided engineering and project management software tools to solve mechatronics design problems.
Communicate effectively in written, spoken and visual form with both technical experts and with members of the general public on engineering matters.
Recognize and value the alternative outlooks that people from various social, ethnic and religious backgrounds may bring to mechatronics engineering.
Appreciate the importance of new and emerging technologies, and the strategies available for life-long learning.
