UNENE Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering

Course requirements for the University Network of Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (UNENE) Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering are listed below. For general program information and admission requirements, see Nuclear Engineering and Technology .

Graduate diploma requirements

To earn the UNENE Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering, students are required to complete four courses. A minimum of two courses must be selected from the core courses already offered in the UNENE Master of Engineering (MEng) (listed below) over a three-year period or less.

The remaining courses may be selected from any of the other core or non-core UNENE courses (excluding Engineering Project). See the UNENE MEng program  for a list of additional courses.

Transfer options

Students who complete the graduate diploma and wish to be considered for admission to the UNENE MEng may have up to six of the 12 credits counted toward the master’s degree. Students who are enrolled in the graduate diploma program and wish to switch to the UNENE MEng may apply for admission. If an offer of admission is granted, they may be able to transfer all of their credits from the diploma program to the master’s degree. In this case, they would not receive the graduate diploma.
