NURS 2500U – Child and Family Health Nursing

The focus of this course is on concepts and principles focused on child and family centered care. This course prepares students to utilize their critical thinking skills to provide safe, competent and ethical care in meeting the challenges of caring for the child and family during life transitions. Common health challenges using a systems approach are discussed, with an emphasis on nursing strategies for assessing, intervening, and evaluating nursing interventions.
