SOFE 3650U – Software Design and Architectures

This course covers common software architectural patterns, styles, reference software architectures, and frameworks. There is a strong emphasis on the influence of software quality attributes such as performance, adaptability, energy, safety, security, etc. to the shape and structure of the architecture. A core component of the course is the adoption of software architectural design processes and modeling languages. A major team-based project is leveraged in the course to teach these concepts.
