BIOL 4020U – Introduction to Environmental Toxicology An introductory course using the concepts from ecology and toxicology to understand the principles of ecotoxicology. Topics will include an exploration of the complex interactions that lead to contaminant issues in ecosystems, types of toxicological responses in wildlife, and the methodologies used in lab and field settings to examine the effects of contaminants in the environment. With this background, ‘real-world’ applications such as adverse outcome pathways, environmental risk assessment and management, traditional environmental knowledge, and environmental policy will be introduced.
