EDUC 5111G - Social Media and Education Social media have evolved and expanded over the past decade, and these remain popular connective, collaborative, and sharing platforms for people of all ages. The merging of technology into education has questioned whether social media have a place in education. Students will critically investigate the pedagogical foundation of various social media platforms and how social media can cultivate learning skills. Students will use social media to investigate the impact, challenges, and benefits in educational settings and also explore social media specifically as they relate to global competencies.
