HLSC 5116G - Systematic Reviews for Personal, Professional and Policy Decisions

This three-credit elective course is designed to introduce graduate students to the conduct of systematic reviews of the literature. Learners acquire the skills to develop a protocol to conduct a rapid systematic review, appraise the literature and synthesize the available evidence. Learners will develop an understanding of how systematic reviews of research literature can be used to inform various aspects of health research including answering research questions, identifying gaps, designing research and assessing intervention effectiveness or stakeholder perspectives.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisite(s): HLSC 5010G OR HLSC 5010G OR PSYC 5040G AND quantitative or qualitative data analysis methods as specified below
