EDUC 7200G - EdD Thesis

The thesis is the primary component of the EdD program. The thesis must make a new contribution to the field of study. Thesis research is carried out under the direction of the student’s supervisor or co-supervisors, in co-operation with a supervisory committee. Each student must report their research in a written thesis. An EdD thesis may include a range of elements including multi-media, learning objects, and policy or practice documents. The thesis must follow the format as set out in the School of Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies thesis template with any variations as mandated by the Faculty of Education. The thesis must comply with the university’s copyright and submission policy. The thesis requirement includes an oral defence. The doctoral thesis with its oral defence is evaluated in accordance with the university’s thesis examination policy.
