NURS 5021G - Advancing Nursing through Leadership

The purpose of NURS5 5021G Advancing Nursing through Leadership is to help to prepare students for their role in both informal and formal leadership in a variety of health-care contexts including, for example, acute care, community, public health, mental health and other settings. The focus is on the knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes required to be an effective leader in today’s complex and ever-changing health-care system. This course includes a mix of theory and application. By engaging in this course, students will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with classmates as well as with an array of leaders working in Durham Region.
