NUCL 5470G - Nuclear Forensic Analysis

There are many techniques available to forensic investigators to investigate suspect criminal activity. In addition, there are many times when forensic techniques are required to investigate nuclear-related events. This course explores nuclear and chemical techniques related to nuclear technology and forensics. Both radiation and analytical chemistry techniques are introduced. Risks and hazards associated with nuclear forensic investigations are reviewed and mitigation strategies developed. Data integrity and communication of results are emphasized.
