MTSC 7000G - PhD Thesis Proposal and Candidacy Exam

Students in the Materials Science PhD program will be required to submit a comprehensive thesis proposal outlining their research objectives and preliminary results. This thesis proposal also will consist of a literature review that addresses the current state of knowledge of their particular research topic. This course will consist of an oral candidacy examination that evaluates the student’s grasp of the literature and their particular research plan.
Credit hours: 0
Prerequisite(s): Enrolment in the Materials Science PhD program.
