HLSC 2825U – Nutrition and Health This course introduces the principles of food and nutrition as they relate to health and health promotion across the life cycle. Topics covered include dietary standards and guidelines, food sources of nutrients, energy balance, weight management, chronic disease prevention and management, and emerging topics in nutrition. Emphasis is placed upon the identification and use of credible nutrition resources.
