BUSI 4210U – High-Tech Marketing This course is designed to provide an advanced understanding of the strategies and practices involved in marketing technology-based products. These include understanding the unique context of the high-tech industry, the rapid process of innovations, and the specific strategies to build competitive advantage. Specific topics covered include marketing research in high-tech firms, understanding high-tech consumers, product development and management issues, distribution channels, pricing considerations, and advertising/promotions in high-tech markets. The objective of the course is to provide a set of tools and frameworks to be more effective in marketing high-technology products.
