KINE 1000U – Foundations in Kinesiology The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the diversity inherent to the field of kinesiology. This course serves as a foundational course, introducing students to the various disciplines of kinesiology, as well as to a range of special populations. Underlying all course content is an emphasis on the impact of healthy active living across the lifespan for people of all abilities, from the perspective of different kinesiology disciplines. Students will be introduced to professional expectations and standards of communication (academic and applied) within kinesiology. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Credit restriction(s): HLSC 1810U
