CHEM 3250U – Introductory Medicinal Chemistry This course focuses on the drug discovery process and drug design. Students will be introduced to a brief history of medicinal chemistry and modern drug development approaches with an emphasis on the role of organic chemistry. In addition, synthetic methodologies for the preparation of selected active pharmaceutical ingredients will be discussed. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Prerequisite(s): CHEM 2120U
