CHEM 4010U – Industrial Chemistry An introduction to the principles and practices of industrial chemistry with a survey of the chemical industry, pollution control, plant design, corrosion and similar topics. Selected industrial processes will be discussed, such as production of primary petrochemicals; plastics and synthetic fibres; pharmaceutical agents; insecticides, herbicides and insect pheromones, dyes, detergents, perfumes and flavours.
