CHEM 3830U – Instrumental Analytical Chemistry A one semester course dealing with instrumental methods of trace chemical analysis. The theory and applications of ultraviolet/visible, infrared and atomic absorption spectroscopy are described. Other common techniques are examined, including X-ray fluorescence, mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, nuclear activation analysis and high performance liquid chromatography.
