POSC 4005U – Independent Study The course provides students with the opportunity to engage in an in-depth study of a specific topic within the discipline. This will involve individual reading and scholarship at an advanced level under faculty supervision. Students will conduct an extensive literature review and write a major essay/critique of the relevant literature. Instructor and dean’s consent required. Limited seats available. Credit hours: 3 Prerequisite(s): Fourth-year standing with a cumulative 3.7 (A-) or greater GPA Credit restriction(s): CDPS 4005U, PUBP 4005U
