NUCL 5150G - CANDU and PWR Steam Utilization Systems

Graduate students study the design and operating principles of nuclear power plant steam utilization systems with specific reference to the following CANDU and PWR station systems: Generator and Auxiliaries, Turbine, Condenser Cooling Water, Vacuum Priming, Condensate Air Extraction, Condensate, Deaerator Level Control, Feedwater and Steam Generator Level Control. Problems and/or projects that reflect plant design and operating experience are used to enhance and verify graduate-level learning.
