ENGR 5710G - Network Computing This course teaches how to design and implement loosely coupled distributed systems. It presents hands-on experience as well as theoretical background in network computing models and design principles. Topics in scalability, performance, security, resource specification and discovery, naming and indexing, and resource management for distributed systems will be discussed in the context of network computing paradigms like publish/subscribe, GRID computing, Peer-to-peer (P2P), Message Oriented Middleware (MOM), Reflective middleware, Service Oriented Applications (SOA) and Mobile Agents.
