Entrepreneurship minor for students outside Bachelor of Commerce

General information


The Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) offers students the opportunity to take a minor in Entrepreneurship. The information below applies to students outside the FBIT Commerce program. Admission requirements


Students outside of the FBIT Commerce program can apply to the Entrepreneurship minor by submitting a Change of Program form to the Registrar’s office. Students must have a minimum 2.3 CGPA and have earned a minimum C+ grade in BUSI 1700U – Introduction to Entrepreneurship  to be considered.

Program requirements


Students from outside the FBIT Commerce program interested in minoring in Entrepreneurship must take BUSI 1700U – Introduction to Entrepreneurship  in their first or second year of their program and must receive a C+ grade to be eligible to apply for the minor. 

The Entrepreneurship minor for students from outside of FBIT Commerce requires a minimum of 18 credit hours in Entrepreneurship courses.  Students are encouraged to participate in either an internship placement with a start-up company or in the incubator. Students must complete three core entrepreneurship courses and two entrepreneurship electives.
