General information and requirements

The Physical Education minor is available to students in the Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies program. The minor consists of six courses (18 credit hours) including five mandatory courses and one elective chosen from a list. A cumulative minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor courses in order to successfully complete the minor.

Students must take the following five courses:

KINE 1010U – Human Anatomy & Physiology I
KINE 1100U – Human Anatomy & Physiology II
KINE 1120U – Human Growth and Motor Development
KINE 1130U – Sociocultural Perspectives
KINE 2030U – Psychology of Sport and Exercise

Students must take at least one of the following courses:

KINE 2110U – Motor Control and Learning
KINE 3100U – Nutrition and Health
KINE 4401U – Motor Behaviour and Developmental Disabilities
KINE 4460U – Selected Topics in Physical Activity and Health
KINE 4461U – Applied Topics in Sport and Exercise Psychology
**KINE 1110U Intro to Movement Neuroscience is a pre-requisite for KINE 2110U Motor Control and Learning
