Program Learning Outcomes - Engineering Management, MEngM

By the end of the program, students graduating will be able to:

• Demonstrate specialized knowledge and understanding of essential philosophies, concepts, principles and theories in the field of engineering management.
• Recognize the social and environmental impacts when managing engineering projects while exhibiting professional and ethical behaviour.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with personnel from various disciplines.
• Develop effective project and product management skills using up-to-date body of knowledge for application in the traditional fields of engineering as well as innovative and entrepreneurial fields.
• Apply engineering tools and principles of management to the analysis, design, planning and operations of systems of people, resources, information and emerging technology.
• Examine and evaluate advanced technology and tools and its application in the engineering management practice.
• Apply systems theory and advanced tools in decision analysis and to identify opportunities for system improvement and optimization within the field of engineering management.
• Develop leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork skills in the execution of business initiatives in both the private and public sectors.
