Psychology (BA) - Advanced Entry

The Psychology - Advanced Entry program provides college graduates with the opportunity to apply their two-year college diploma toward a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in General Psychology.

Psychology - Advanced Entry students will take the same mandatory courses as other Psychology students in their third and fourth years, but the order that these courses are taken will differ to facilitate completion of all course requirements within a two-year period.

Admission requirements

Admission is competitive. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications.

To qualify for the General Psychology Advanced Entry program, the minimum entrance requirement is a completion of any two-year Ontario College Program. In addition, the minimum average or standing required for admission into the program is 70 per cent (or B-minus) in the college course work completed.

Completion requirements

The sequencing of courses for third- and fourth-year Psychology Advanced Entry students differs somewhat from other Psychology majors.
