Entrepreneurship minor for students outside FBIT


General information


The Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) offers students the opportunity to take a minor in Entrepreneurship. The information below applies to students from a faculty outside FBIT. Admission requirements


Students outside of FBIT can apply to the Entrepreneurship minor by submitting a Change of Program form to the Registrar’s office. Students must have a minimum 2.3 CGPA and have earned a minimum C+ grade in BUSI 1700U – Introduction to Entrepreneurship  to be considered.

Program requirements


Students from outside FBIT interested in minoring in Entrepreneurship must take BUSI 1700U – Introduction to Entrepreneurship  in their first or second year of their program and must receive a C+ grade to be eligible to apply for the minor. 

The Entrepreneurship minor for students from outside of FBIT requires a minimum of 18 credit hours in Entrepreneurship courses.  Students are encouraged to participate in either an internship placement with a start-up company or in the incubator. Students must complete three core entrepreneurship courses and two entrepreneurship electives.
