Communication and Digital Media Studies – Bridge

General information
The Communication and Digital Media Studies Bridge program provides college graduates with the opportunity to apply their college diploma in Print and Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Broadcast for Contemporary Media, Contemporary Web Design, Digital Photography, Digital Video Production or Interactive Media Design toward a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communication and Digital Media Studies.
Students enrolled in the Communication and Digital Media Studies Bridge will complete four bridge courses that will position them for entrance directly into third year of the Communication and Digital Media Studies degree program at UOIT.
Admission requirements
Admission is competitive. The specific average or standing required for admission varies from year to year. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications.
To qualify for the Communication and Digital Media Studies Bridge program, the minimum entrance requirement is a two-year Ontario college diploma (or equivalent) in a communication and digital media studies relevant program.

The Communication and Digital Media Studies Bridge program consists of the following four course requirements:
After Bridge completion
Students who successfully complete the Communication and Digital Media Studies Bridge program with a 2.7 cumulative GPA (on a 4.3 scale) or better, with no individual course grade below 2.0 GPA (on a 4.3 scale), are eligible to enter third year of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communication and Digital Media Studies.
