General information
The Political Science Advanced Entry program provides college graduates with the opportunity to apply their relevant college diplomas or graduate certificate toward a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Students enrolled in the Political Science Advanced Entry program will enter directly into third year of the Political Science degree program at the university and will follow a modified program map that will allow students to complete the program in two years of full-time study. To qualify for the Political Science Advanced Entry program, the minimum entrance requirement is a two-year college diploma (or equivalent) in programs such as, but not limited to: Child and Youth Worker; Developmental Services Worker; Community Development Work; Environmental Technology; Paralegal; Police Foundations; Protection, Security, and Investigation; and Social Service Worker. Admission is competitive. The specific average or standing required for admission varies from year to year. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications. Advanced Entry completion requirements
