EDST 2180U – AI in Education

This course introduces artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in educational settings. Students will explore the theoretical foundations of AI, its evolving role in education, and the ethical considerations accompanying AI use. Through practical activities and discussions, students will critically assess the affordances and constraints of various AI tools and the teaching and learning process. The course emphasizes critical thinking about the benefits and challenges of AI and prepares students to incorporate AI into their educational practices.
