EDUC 5003G - Research Proposal Seminar This seminar course is intended for students who wish to complete an MA. thesis or MEd. project. By the end of the course, students will have designed a robust research proposal and plan for pursuing their MA. thesis or MEd. project. This course will support students as they develop comprehensive strategies for locating and assessing scholarly sources and design the foundational elements of their thesis or project. Students will establish meaningful and manageable research questions for investigation, create a compelling proposal introduction, including relevant theoretical and/or conceptual frameworks, write a thoughtful, well-organized literature review, explore and identify applicable research methodologies, and create appropriate data collection tools (if applicable). Students planning to collect original data for their thesis or project will complete research ethics board training. Credit hours: 3 Prerequisite(s): EDUC 5002G .
