BUSI 2560U – Buyer Beware: The Psychology of Buying and Selling All of us are consumers and sellers of various products, services and causes in our daily lives. In these roles as buyers and sellers we are faced with difficult economic decisions. Psychologists and economists have developed an increasingly sophisticated and deep understanding of the tools, heuristics and biases that influence both the buying and selling process. The goal of this course is two-fold, to introduce students to the importance of personal selling within organizations and in your own daily consumption of products and services and to become more informed consumers by understanding many of the factors that influence the way you make judgments, decisions and choices.
