CSCI 6120G - Empirical Software Engineering This course provides an overview of advanced topics in empirical software engineering. Students learn how to design, implement and interpret the results of empirical studies. In particular, students gain insight into the benefits and drawbacks of different empirical methods such as benchmarks, controlled experiments, ethnographies and surveys. Students also obtain experience with critically evaluating and reproducing existing empirical software engineering research. Credit hours: 3
