MITS 5100G - Law & Ethics of IT Security This course covers the many ways in which commercial law applies to information technology security. As more and more business transactions and communications are now conducted electronically, the IT function within an institution has become the custodian of the official business records. This course introduces the laws governing the daily business of an institution or government agency, as those laws apply to the protection of information and computer systems. Emerging issues, such as privacy and information disclosures, will be discussed in the course. Credit hours: 3
