NURS 2605U – Advancing Clinical Judgement: Caring for Adults with Complex Health Challenges This course promotes development of clinical judgment required for registered nurse (RN) practice. Building on a foundation of knowledge, skill, and judgment the bridging student will apply evidence-based theory guided practice to the care of adults experiencing health challenges. Students will complete 144 hours of direct practicum experience in an acute care practicum environment. Experiences within the course may also include: in-person simulation, virtual simulation, and other emerging clinical teaching/learning modalities. Credit hours: 6 Lecture hours: 3 Other hours: 12 hours practicum weekly & 8 hours of simulation over the course of the term Prerequisite(s): HLSC 2202U, NURS 2820U and NURS2600U Experiential learning: Yes
