NURS 2600U – Child and Family Health Nursing This course challenges learners who already possess Registered Practical nursing knowledge of maternal-child concepts to advance their ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment. The focus of this course spans fertility/infertility, through pregnancy and childbirth, to care and development of children from newborn to adolescence. Using case-based teaching methods, students will apply evidence-based knowledge, skill, and judgement to the compassionate care of individuals and families. Both stable and unstable patient situations will be explored. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Corequisite(s): HLSC 2202U and NURS 2820U Credit restriction(s): NURS 2705U Experiential learning: Yes
