PSYC 4210U – Social Cognition This course exists at the intersection between Social and Cognitive Psychology, and offers students insights into how a) broader society influences the way we think/process the world and b) how the way we think/process the world influences that world around us. Topics may include the self, attitudes and biases, stereotypes and prejudices and group decision making processes. Efforts will be made to apply the material in ways that relate to the real world. Students will be challenged to think more critically about themselves, as well as the world around them, and to gain a further understanding of how we think, feel and act within social settings.
