INDG 3200U – Contemporary Indigenous Literature This course explores the ways in which Indigenous peoples represent themselves through literature and text-based mediums. Indigenous peoples are creating novel and powerful works that powerfully counter the trope of victimhood that is often attributed to Indigenous people. Through non-fiction, fiction, poetry, graphic novels and comic book stories, students explore the centering of Indigeneity through story.
