INFR 3390U – Intermediate Rigging


In this course, students will deepen their understanding of rigging for games and interactive rendering environments. Students will begin exploring and implementing more complex rigging systems by first analyzing existing rig setups while working to create their own. Students will also investigate, in more depth, the relationship between vertex weights, topology, bone position, parenting, drivers and constraints to create animator and pipeline friendly rigs. Students will begin to explore how to use python scripting to automate portions of the rigging process.
