PHY 4130U – Particle Physics This course explores the physics of the elementary constituents of our universe – from quarks and leptons to the fundamental forces that bind them together. Topics covered include: special relativity and four-vectors, symmetries, Feynman diagrams, decay rates and cross sections, quantum electrodynamics, chromodynamics, weak interactions, gauge theories, and the Higgs mechanism.
