CSCI 4140U – Quantum Computing Software and Applications This course is an introduction to quantum computing with an emphasis on programming and algorithm development. Topics to be covered include quantum mechanics for quantum computing, hardware architectures, models of quantum computing, programming quantum computers and quantum computing algorithms. Students will be exposed to at least one software development environment for quantum computing. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Laboratory hours: 1.5 Prerequisite(s): CSCI 3070U OR MATH 3050U OR PHY 3020U Experiential learning: Yes
