METE 4200U – Industrial Automation This course covers the fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Students will learn the basics of PLCs, including how PLCs function, how to program PLCs, and how to design automated systems that are controlled by PLCs. In addition, students will learn the fundamentals of pneumatics and hydraulics including the design and control of systems that incorporate pneumatic and/or hydraulic components. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Laboratory hours: 2 (biweekly) Note(s): Must be registered in third year
