CRMN 3045U – Terrorism This course will explore theoretical practical issues related to understanding terrorism and the state, and public responses to it. It will review theoretical and methodological issues in the study of terrorism; social, political and economic roots of terrorism; and the representation of narratives of terror and counter-terror. This course will conclude with a critical examination of strategies used in the control of terrorist activities and the implication these have for public safety and for human rights.
