LGLS 3200U – Sociology of Law This course examines the various philosophies, theories, and perspectives that form the theoretical underpinnings of a sociological understanding of law. The focus includes perspectives influenced by classical and contemporary (including feminist, critical race and post-colonial) theorists. These theoretical perspectives will be applied to understanding the social dynamics of law, legal professions and the legal system.
