LGLS 2110U – Private Law This course is an introduction to the principles of private law, where private law is the law relating to the rights, duties, and obligations that individuals and other legal actors hold or owe toward one another. The course covers the basic concepts and underlying principles of contracts, torts and property law, and will introduce students to critical analysis of these core concepts. The course will also examine how and why the public-private distinction has been used in law. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Prerequisite(s): LGLS 1000U
