EDST 2410U – Foundations of Adult Learning This course explores the purposes, meanings and key characteristics of adult education. Students will examine theories of adult education and contexts for adult education through an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens. Students will be encouraged to take a critical, reflective approach to their learning. The course will analyze approaches to teaching and assessment to determine strategies that best meet the needs of adult learners in different contexts. Students will identify an adult learning need and create an effective learning resource in an appropriate context.
